Follow Our Journey: Bravo 2, Charlie 2, Foxtrot 2 & Sierra 2 – Day 6

Written by Emily M., Marine Bio/mate

This morning, mega fleet awoke at Village Cay marina after a fun shore night filled with good music and legendary dance moves. Served hot off the stove was a breakfast buffet including some delicious avocado toast, fresh fruit, and a variety of bagels and cereal. After breakfast, divers left for a double-dive, and the rest of the crew prepared the boat for a day full of sailing.

Under sail to Cooper Island, we made Sail Caribbean’s famous Shark Dip to snack on. With full stomachs, the crew learned about points of sail and wind. After mooring at Cooper, we picked up our divers, and had some hot dogs for lunch. We dropped the mooring ball and set our sights on Long Bay, Beef Island for our afternoon destination.

Arriving at Long Bay, we were delighted to see the crystal clear, turquoise water. After dropping our anchor, the crew all jumped in for a cooling swim and a splash around the Lilly Pad. We then shuttled everyone to shore to enjoy some virgin drinks, volleyball, wakeboarding, tubing, and sailing on Hobie Cats. Some unique marine life was also spotted at shore, including a spotted eagle ray.

Once everyone had their fill of shore activities, we headed back to boats where it was time to shower and prep for dinner. Cheffing it up, some boats chose to make chicken fajitas while others made chicken teriyaki. Both, impeccable choices. After eating and tidying up the boat a bit, play dates were organized and the mega fleet had some time to socialize.

Back on board, after a night with friends, the crew got together again to have a boat meeting, debrief the day, complete the ship’s log, and play some games while snacking on cookies and tea. With sleepy eyes, after a long day of adventure, mega fleet powered down, and checked off another day in the books.

MORE PICS COMING SOON 🙂
